Cleaning & Preservative Process

Tile

Bonn Roof Care provides two unique cleaning systems for tile. Water pressure or air can be an option to remove debris and moss build-up. A liquid barrier is applied to inhibit the growth of moss. However, your roof will need to be evaluated to determine which system is most beneficial to your roof's needs. After this cleaning and preservative process, a follow-up maintenance program is recommended the next season to remove surface dirt and debris build-up.

Composition

Water pressure or brooming to remove moss is NOT recommended on composition 3-tab or architectural roofs. Bonn Roof Care uses a unique air displacement system to remove debris and moss without the damaging effects. A liquid barrier is applied to inhibit the growth of moss. Just as with tile roofs, a follow-up maintenance program is recommended the next season to remove moss, surface dirt and debris build-up throughout the year.

Tile & Composition Roofs

Downspout basket installations are important to prevent clogged down-spouts, allows for proper drainage and prevent rust damage to your gutters. Pipe boot and ventilation outlets need to be inspected upon every visit, as seals are made of rubber and will deteriorate over time. During the cleaning and preservative process for your composition or tile roof we will:
  • Gently clean your roof
  • Remove debris from gutters
  • Inspect vents
  • Seal pipes as needed
  • Replace broken or missing shingles
  • Apply moss barrier
  • Clean job site

Maintenance Program
Recommended after roof cleaning the following season

Simple maintenance can save you valuable dollars. An on-going roof maintenance program allows you to extend the life of your roof by ensuring proper drainage and minimizing the buildup of surface dirt and debris that can lead to wood rot. A Bonn Roof Care maintenance program includes cleaning your roof, cleaning out gutters, inspecting vents, sealing pipes as needed, and thoroughly cleaning up the job site after we are done. This service can be provided up to three times per year, depending on how much debris your roof accumulates during the season. Downspouts baskets and skylight washing is available as an option at additional cost.
